BOOT CAMP

CrossFit Legitimus does not offer boot camp and here's why.

Boot camp by definition is an indoctrination to physical fitness training and BASIC bodyweight exercises for new recruits entering the military services.

Fitness boot camps are short, relatively intensive, quasi-military programs generally aimed at beginners and are geared to meet the needs of the majority of the group, which again trend to the beginner to intermediate fitness level. Unlike CrossFit, boot camps are not designed to be quantitative or progressive. Once one is proficient at managing his or her bodyweight, boot camp will leave the intermediate to advanced athlete wanting more. This is where CrossFit fits in!

CrossFit is a quantitative and progressive fitness program that takes boot campers to the next level, an elite level of fitness. CrossFit combines military bodyweight exercises, plyometrics, gymnastics, explosive Olympic lifting, undulating periodization strength training, Russian kettlebell training and more into a different, ultra-challenging workout everyday.

Unlike boot camps and other fitness programs, our workouts are short, intense and most of the time performed under a moderate to heavy load. We workout at 90-125% Vo2max compared to 50-60%, like boot camps or other globo gym fitness programs.

CrossFit workouts are timed. You are in control of the intensity of the workout. The shorter your finishing time - the higher your power output. Which means the harder you work, the more calories you burn.

CrossFit is not a 'class'. CrossFit is a quantitative and progressive fitness program.

Progress at CrossFit Legitimus is measureable. If you don't know where you are, you can't plan where your are going. So, we use benchmark workouts to keep track of how much weight you lift, how fast you run or lift, the number of pull-ups and push-ups you can perform and all other aspects of your individual fitness program. If you are not continuously progressing, getting stronger or faster, we pull you aside and find out why! We hold you accountable for your workouts, expect you to show up and continuously improve.
